FC Twente wants to buy Michal Rosiak, a former Arsenal player. The technical director of FC Twente, Erik ten Hag, has set his sights on the twenty-year-old right-back.
What happened?
Michal Rosiak left Arsenal FC in 2025 and started playing for Slask Wrocláw, in Poland. The Polish player with English roots signed until mid-2027, but there is a good chance he will not serve out this contract.
Why is this important for FC Twente?
FC Twente is again targeting talent from Slask Wrocláw. With 22 appearances, four goals and two assists, Rosiak was invaluable to Slask, which managed to promote back to the top level of Poland. His best position is right midfield, but Ten Hag seems to see him primarily as an ideal successor to right-back Bart van Rooij.
What comes next?
Slask wants to keep Rosiak, but at the same time knows that he will be free to negotiate with other clubs from next winter. Next calendar year, he could then leave for free. FC Twente is currently in 4th place in the Eredivisie, with 58 points, 15 wins, 13 draws and 6 losses from 34 games, and a recent form of LWDDW. The club has scored 59 goals and conceded 40 goals, with a goal difference of +19. FC Twente is 26 points behind leaders PSV Eindhoven.
