FC Twente takes the field on Saturday 27 June 2026 against Vroomshoopse Boys in a festive friendly at De Bosrand. The event, organised by the Boys' FC Twente working group, sold out weeks ago with 2 500 spectators.

How is the match organised?

The committee – Jeroen Bos, Hans van Brussel, Patrick Drenthen, Patrick Jacobs, Chris Jansen and Rik Schutte – spent over six months fine‑tuning every detail. Tickets are no longer available online or at the box office. Cyclists can lock their bikes near the main entrance, while drivers with a parking pass use the existing lot; those without may park free in a field beside Flierdijk.

What does the heat mean for fans?

A warm midsummer day calls for light clothing, sunscreen, a hat or cap and plenty of water. Extra sunscreen is stocked at the first‑aid station. Vroomshoopse Boys will provide shade where possible so supporters stay comfortable.

What’s on the programme?

From 15.30 hrs fans can enjoy inflatable trampolines, a water slide and the arrival of the FC Twente bus. The newly opened clubhouse ‘Boyszicht’ offers an outdoor terrace, food trucks with ice cream and cold drinks, a DJ and singer Joy Woelders. Kick‑off has been moved to 18.00 hrs to avoid the heat, and a post‑match after‑party with a Meet‑and‑Greet starts around 20.00 hrs.

Why does this matter for FC Twente?

The game is FC Twente’s first pre‑season friendly of the campaign, a club currently 4th in the Eredivisie with 58 points (15 W‑13 D‑6 L) and a recent LWDDW run. They have scored 59 goals and conceded 40 (+19 goal difference) this season. Goalkeeper Lars Unnerstall remains sidelined, giving the coach a chance to showcase other keepers. The match offers young talents a rare test against top‑flight opposition, while the Boys’ squad faces a unique challenge.

What happens after the match?

The result will be announced around 19.45 hrs, after which fans can join the after‑party. The new multifunctional facility – complete with a new stand, changing rooms and recovery area – is officially inaugurated, adding extra festivity to the evening.
