FC Twente has won the first match of the Europa League playoffs against FK Bodø/Glimt. The team of coach Joseph Oosting won 2-1 thanks to a late penalty by Ricky van Wolfswinkel.
How did the match go?
FC Twente took an early lead through Sayfallah Ltaief. The Tunisian winger scored after a beautiful deep pass from Michel Vlap. Later in the match, Daan Rots was given a slight push in the penalty area, but the referee ruled that the striker went to the ground too easily.
The second half
In the second half, FC Twente began to push more and more, which led to frustration among the Norwegian visitors. Vlap, Sem Steijn and Bart van Rooij were all given a hard tackle just before half-time.
