FC Twente has completed the transfer of Aske Adelgaard. The 22-year-old Danish left-back joins from Go Ahead Eagles and replaces Mats Rots, who moved to Hoffenheim for a record fee of sixteen million euros. Adelgaard has signed a contract until mid-2030, with an option for an additional season. This transfer marks FC Twente's first summer signing at De Grolsch Veste. Technical director Erik ten Hag is pleased with Adelgaard's arrival, describing him as an interesting addition with significant potential. Adelgaard has gained Eredivisie experience at Go Ahead Eagles and fits well with FC Twente's playing style. The new signing is excited about his move to the club, seeing FC Twente as a big club with great ambitions and wanting to contribute to the team's success. Last season, Adelgaard played 27 Eredivisie matches, scoring one goal and providing two assists. The club is also interested in a second left-back, Simun Hrgovic from Hadjuk Split, which could increase competition for Adelgaard.
