FC Twente starts the new year with a training camp in Germany. The selection of FC Twente will be staying in the German town of Ankum until Sunday, January 5.

What happens in Ankum?

The selection will train on Thursday afternoon at the Training Center in Hengelo and then depart for Ankum. There, FC Twente will work towards the second half of the season over the coming days.

Mees Hilgers, Anass Salah-Eddine, and Younes Taha will not be traveling to Germany, as they will be following an individual training program.

Who are the young players in the selection?

The selection will be supplemented with a number of youth players over the coming days. Yannick Gerritsen, Harrie Kuster, Ruud Nijstad, Benjamin Nagel, Lucas Vennegoor of Hesselink, Owen Panneflek, and Jort Ribbers will be part of the player group in Ankum.

What are the plans for the friendly match?

FC Twente will play a friendly match against Werder Bremen on Sunday (kick-off at 15.00 hours). The match (2x 60 minutes) will be played in Bremen and is not open to the public. The match can be seen live on Ziggo Sport.
