FC Twente has achieved a crucial win on Thursday evening in the play-offs for a Conference League ticket. Younes Taha was the matchwinner with a goal in extra time against NEC.

What happened?

Taha came from PEC Zwolle in 2023, but due to a leg break, he was unable to secure a starting position at FC Twente. Yet, he is not thinking of leaving.

Why is Taha staying at FC Twente?

'I also discussed this with the coach', said Taha. 'I don't want to go anywhere, but I want to show everyone here what I can do. One hundred percent. I am convinced of my qualities, now I just need to show them to others.'

What's next?

Taha wants to play with FC Twente in the Conference League next year. 'That's my ambition', he said. 'I want to achieve success with this club.'
